Japan, is this time to buy yet?

Last year I did quite well with 'pound cost averaging' into Invesco Japan Discovery Inv. Trust. I think this year will continue the steady rise.

It was interesting to read in the Telegraph Money section on Saturday 31/12/05 that 9 of the 16 fund managers and other 'experts' chose Japan as their favourite country to invest in during 2006.

The other 8 were: - Taiwan, USA, Germany, China (2), Turkey, and Russia.

Gone are the days when I would ever again put any lump sum of more than £500 at any one time into any Investment Trust or Unit Trust in any sector or country.

Monthly savings plans are the way forward and have been working well for me in recent years.I have also just sold off a 7.7K investment in Templeton Emerging Mkts.Inv.Trust with a 3K+ profit, again from a monthly savings plan - pound cost
averaging.
