Trading the shares involves a tiny spread and they have been so volatile that it has been possible to trade in and out with some frequency. You can usually sense when things are going to change direction and if you don't worry about spotting the precise tops and bottoms you can be very consistent in getting in lower and and out higher.
I think the tide has turned again.
The reaction to the broadband news was overdone - the wholesale price was already down to £25 and anyway profitability is in increased takeup, not high prices.
The novel advertising of Talk Together as a way of achieving peace of mind rather than cost saving seems to be paying off (only a straw poll but I know several people changing even though it costs more than their historic bill).
I see the Telegraph gives an endorsement of sorts today, and the Independent has it as a tip for the year.
I reckon it will creep up this week, and continue upwards to 265/270 before hesitating again.
Biggest worry is being 'out' when the breakthrough comes. But I don't think that's likely for some months
