Closed Period Announcement - Trading Update

Ambient announced on 29th October 2003 that it would be changing the accounting
reference date for the Company and all its subsidiaries to 31st December. As a
result, the next financial period will be in respect of the eleven-month period
ending 31st December 2003. The Group will therefore enter a close period from 1
January 2004.

The board believes that the Group's performance will be in line with market
expectations. Also, the demerger and flotation of Moneybox on AIM, which was
announced with the Interim Results on 29th October 2003, is on schedule for
Spring 2004.
