1) It's very reassuring to see that they've determined the new product opportunities (whatever they are) and that now there's someone onboard whose responsibility it is to develop them and to bring these to the market.
2) Kirk has lead the initiative to get a CTO on the board. From what I remember this position was never advertised.
3) Good IR - An awareness that investors appreciate being kept up-to-date which shareholders in other co's would desperately like to have. And as CT says, very honest: How many companies wouldn't have said anything like this to their shareholders - many of which would have information such as that disclosed today kept as far from private investors as possible.
