IQE buys MBE Technology for 7.5 mln stg; sees it adding to earnings immediately


LONDON (AFX) - Wafer technology supplier IQE PLC said it has acquired
Singapore-based MBE Technology Pte Ltd for 23 mln sgd, or 7.5 mln stg, adding
the acquisition will be "immediately earnings enhancing" and is expected to
"significantly" benefit it in 2007.
Separately, the company said despite incurring some additional costs in its
second half, its performance has been "in line" with its expectations with
demand for its wafer products continuing to be strong across all sectors of the
business.
