LONDON, December 29 (New Ratings) – Analyst Harald Schnitzer of DZ Bank believes that the global semiconductor industry would grow significantly in 2004, despite the declining DRAM prices.
In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that Micron, the world's second largest semiconductor company, recently posted robust results, significantly beating the market expectations. Micron's results reflect the strong recovery of the semiconductor sector, the analyst says. According to DZ Bank, the corporate demand for PC's would improve considerably during 2004, boosting the performance of semiconductor companies.
