The obvious lack of news flow, and the sp trading in a range (no breakout) has certainly stemmed the posts by detractors and longs..... for a while any way.
The only thing news worthy which I heard on the radio was the patients records debate which ended last weekend with a ruling that unless the patients stated otherwise and with good cause, their data could/would be withheld from the data base. Which is the complete opposite to the wishes of the BMA - "We are worried patients are not going to have all the information they need to know what is going on with their records."That is why we are in favour of a system that seeks their explicit consent." (post6905).
Although weīll see if this ruling remains in place, as the politicians may be forced to change their opinion by the force of public opinion.
So as Mr Grainger, the programmeīs head, argued (post6938) "that policy and operational difficulties in the NHS, rather than IT issues, are largely the reason for the programme's delay,"
Itīs issues like these which have delayed and dogged IOT. Going as far back as February the NHS were stating the delays were not the fault of IOT.
But a small company versus government and itīs departments and ACC., IOT was always going to be the scapegoat for all to pin the cause of their individual woes.
The only road bumps the company will be facing now, are those high repayment terms to the banks which will start from 1st January, unless ofcause they have been able to get new terms, which I doubt they have been able to achieve yet. But one would imagine itīs high up on theoir ī07 agenda.
Anyway should I not post before Christmas I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a jolly Christmas and to thank all for your many contributions to this thread.
Feliz Navidad
