Hi,
Merry Christmas, and my best wishes for 2007 to everyone.
What a pleasure to read the nice posts here from people who have benfited financially from my original research on IND back in 2004. Although as always with shares, it's each of us who make our own investing decisions, so ultimately we deserve the credit (or otherwise) for our own successful or unsuccessful investment decisions - regardless of where we got the original idea from.
Let's never forget also that this game we play with riskier AIM Listed shares is always going to throw up a lot of losers, but the occasional massive winner like IND.
Who would have thought it ? When I first visited IND in the spring of 2004, management seemed embattled, fending off vultures who were after the cash pile (that's why I originally looked at it, must admit). But if those vultures had looked a bit deeper, they would have seen an incredibly committed team of people, convinced that they had a world-leading product - although in a marketplace that wasn't quite ready for digital CCTV.
And guess what, they were right ! IND do have a world-leading product, and we're starting to see the fruits of their efforts. Long may it continue !
At the risk of this starting to sound like a cheesy awards ceremony, I would just like to thank everyone for their kind words about me, but above all, I shall be raising my glass to Oliver & the team at IND, and the spectacular work they've done in pioneering (globally) digital CCTV.
These shares have 20-bagged for me already, and I see a lot more upside if current trends continue, with the potential for £20-50 a share if you take a 2/3 year view, and everything goes to plan.
Thanks again to the team at IND ! One way or another the posts here will filter through to management at IND, you can be sure of that. Management of virtually all companies I meet say that they never read the Boards, and the posts are all crap, but in my experience they keep an eye on things here, whether it's direct or indirect.
Which is why it's wise to keep comment informed, and not go over the top in terms of any uninformed criticism, or potentially libellous posts (that's a general point, not company-specific).
Thanks again to IND - this investment has certainly been life-changing for me financially, and it's also been very pleasurable to see the under-dog come from behind & prove all the doubters wrong. Who would have thought that a tiny company in the middle of nowhere outside Edinburgh, could have developed & is actually selling a world-leading digital CCTV system into numerous high profile sites globally ? It's deeply impressive.
I firmly believe that this is one share to stick with for the long term, and it will certainly be the core of my portfolio for the foreseeable future. I'm not actually that interested in many other companies, and am quite happy to take a low profile backseat, and just wait for this one to come good.
Merry Xmas !
Paul.
