Captain. yep... funny old game. Probably the first time in history you can get more interest from a bank than the yield on tobacco.

GLH said ciggie volumes were up 3.3% a few days ago but the people in Uzbekistan, Siberia and the other places where sales are increasing don't pay a fiver a packet.

UK down 4%.

Austria down 12%.... looks like some smuggling going on.

Germany down 14%.... some tax issues to blame apparantly.

Ireland up 1.3% .... trade sales or stockpiling ahead of increase in prices.
