The Khronos API-for the uninitiated is available FREE and will allow telecos to fully deliver their 2D/3D aspirations - IMG has been at the heart of the developer programme for a number of years

Its interestingbut not surprising to see ATI presenting-this is a massive market and the BIG graphics companies will want some of the action-HOWEVER deloping a SOC is rather different and much more complex and cannot be achieved overnight-MBX and MBX-lite are AVAILABLE now and already have customers(not yet announced)

remember that it has been stated more than once (but only by IMG!! ;-)) that MBX will and is becoming the defacto standard for mobile 3D Hardware

Bitboys at present seem better positioned to provide strong competition
