The question:
On what date (a trading day in 2004) will IMD close with a price through the £1 barrier ?

Anyway, as we are now past Christmas 2003, and as I am the one promoting this extravaganza (& therefore, making up the rules too), I’m allowing myself an adjustment on my previous forecast of “a pound by xmas”…
After consulting tarot cards, the farmer’s almanac and a haynes manual, I’ve settled on Monday the 16th of February.
Rather than just going out on a limb here, I’ve done a little further research, (based on the dog’s scratching during songs of praise tonight) and I feel that the 85p barrier will be broken by Friday the 30th of January, before the momentum carries the price into three digits on the 16th of the following month.
