My attempt to spread a little hope, maybe false hope, but time will tell.
Don't forget bacstel-IP, the news BACS system that every company that makes bacs payments must have moved to before the start of 2006 or they will have to go back to writing cheques. This new system makes use of smart cards to authorise the bacs payments, some banks providing smart cards by a little company called cardbase (namely the Bank of England ()). Companys will have had to move on mass to this system. IDD as a producer of smart cards, could have seen some benefit from it. I use the word "had" cause most should have done it long ago, but I bet there were plenty of last minute movers.
