HOWAY THE LADS 2005-2006

Well,Jason Roberts was crap when he played in the Premiership with the Baggies and Pompey so the makeover is pretty unbelievable. I think he will have to prove that he is a consistent and high scorer in the Premiership for the rest of this season and next to convince many including me.Maybe he is benefiting from the presence of Camara who does seem to have genuine class, although why teams against Wigan seem to play a high line when Camara and Roberts are at their best running on to the ball escapes me.Still all credit to Jewell for making the improvement.

If we are looking at the "wheat from the chaff" amongst so-called lesser teams I would be interested if Souness took a close interest in Gary O'Niel of Pompey and Upson at Brum. The former is the Under 21 captain and a proven performer( and very underrated) in the Premiership while Upson looked very classy last year although he seems to have lost confidence this year but who wouldn't at Brum. Each could probably be obtained for 3 million although my feedback is that Liverpool are pushing hard for O'Niel which seems to make my point
