He knows I'm right and is right to be a worried man. I have told Mr Shepherd my thoughts on this matter and if he signs pearce I will re-invest at some point afterwards. I won't say when though because the Owen issue has to play out yet and could go badly wrong as Liverpool have already thrown their hat into the ring. Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea to follow with possibly Spurs.

You see my strategy if I were chairman would be to destroy my opposition from within, make your money count twice and target it where it does the most damage

ie like Man City ..... pinch their manager , kills 2 birds with one stone

ie like Bolton ....... pinch their goalie , ditto

ie like Wigan ...... pinch Jason Roberts
