Mr Calkwell sought either to influence opinion on the value of homebuy shares, or impress us about his wealth when he took the time to announce on this board that he'd bought a very substantial number and thought that they were cheap. I don't know the man but he does seem to enjoy winding people up and giving slippery answers, which reminds me of a very good joke on Stephen Fry's programme...What does a solicitor and a sperm have in common? Only one in fifty million goes on to become a human being. Arf arf.
Maybe a bit of useless information but a few weeks ago Andrew Griffiths from The Business quoted homebuys eps as 8.2, 18.0 for 2006, and 25.0 for march 2007. Share price was 130 at time of press release.
