I'm amazed CKN's price has held up as well as it has.
The BDI is way down to 2,439 and is way, way down on the same period last year and in H1, VLCC rates have turned down sharply, and then there's the CFF news above. The large part of CKN's profits reliant on broking must be taking a big hit, and I can't see any way they're going to meet this year's forecast, notwithstanidng the forecast EPS reduction for 2006.
The outer must be bid interest, but that's not enough for me. CKN is a good company, but it's swimming against the tide at present, so I won't be buying in. Good luck to holders though as I want CKN to do well.
