"Technology description
Optiscope is a disposable rigid endoscope that is in development for internal examinations and surgical procedures. The first product is a 10mm diameter laparoscope. Future products are planned to be as small as 2.5mm.
Current, non-disposable, rigid endoscopes frequently break and need decontamination, disinfection and sterilization after each use. Optiscope will cost £30-£40 and may allow cost effective single use endoscopy."
