T43 ... I was suggesting the cultural difference was a lack of understanding on my part, not yours.
Sadly my Asian experience is limited to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore ... I have yet to visit Thailand. I hope to do so one day.
WHY TAKE CONTROL OF WHATEVER YOU MAY CHOOSE TO DEFINE AS A "DISTRIBUTION CHAIN? What is 'the past?' Is there not a conflict of interest here potentially? SAFA-IPS is HISTORY.
Safa-IPS remain a major part of HCEG's HS&S division. They have recently revamped their website ... Safa-IPS will shortly be introducing an online store and are very much a part of what is happening now at HCEG Plc.
"My worry is that if you buy your distributor with no sales reporting to date, what non-performance might you be hiding? And if you are buying to hide then you probably have major problems."...is this not a valid concern?
It is only a valid concearn if you can show that non-performance exists.
... surely looking for trouble in the absence of factual information is the byeword of investment
Yes it is, but what have you found ??? I see a lot of suspicion but no evidence of trouble in the areas you are addressing i.e. ATA and Thailand.
"shrek has addressed the matter of sales ... they are better than initially expected in Thailand"...Well that's not the response I was after. I haven't commented for research purposes- just opinion/comment info.
OK, that's not the response you were after. What response were you after ???
This point is an example of why I find some of your logic confusing. Sales are better than expected ... that is the answer to your question. It may not be what you were after but it is a true reflection of the situation based on information known at this time.
