Haystack - we all appreciate your atruistic concerns about our investments here but I would reiterate substp's question:

What is your real agenda?

I appreciate that your posts are very civil and you always present an argument for you case as you see it but why are you putting so much effort into deramping HCEG since you have already stated that you are not shorting this I believe? As I've asked you to explain your interest which I'm sure you will then I'll state mine - I'm a long term holder and intend to continue to hold and have no association with the investment industry - do you?

I am sorry I did not respond to your post yesterday. I am
not shorting or deramping HCEG. As I have said I think this is an
interesting company and have acknowledged that the research here is
second to none. Indeed I might be tempted to buy but only when I can see
that any short term difficulties there might be are out of the way.

I am raising my concerns here in order to provoke a debate as I think
possible negatives have not really been recognised here or always constructively discusssed.

I think some of my posts have prompted a healthy debate and some
positives about the company which perhaps I had not fully taken on board
have come out in the responses. I am pleased that my posts have not been dismissed out of hand and I do look forward to seeing this story unfold.

I do have concerns about the short term sales of Ebiox and the problems
at Warrington. MW has stated that profits have been affected by the
problems and some customers have been lost. I wonder to what extent
profits have suffered - although it is interesting to note that the
the company still seem to be predicting 6.5M.

I am also concerned about the Numis note put out not long before the revision
of forecasts... this is roughly what it said...

'The company appear comfortable with our forecast of 8.5m '

and

'Things are going well at Warrington'

I believe that when this was published the company would have known
things were not going well at Warrington and that 8.5M was not on the cards.
I do hope that there is not another downward estimate of profits in the
pipeline as management credibility will be affected - no matter if any
downward revision is by 2M , 1M or just 0.5M.(and no matter that profits may still be much better than last year)

I believe that the company and broker should have been alot more
cautious from the start.

Underpromise and overdeliver is my motto.
