RandomPoint: On the subject of timing GWP haven't yet misled their shareholders. The only statement they have released in an RNS is: These two studies are intended to provide a regulatory package in peripheral
neuropathic pain. Both sets of data need to be assessed in order to determine
the regulatory implications of the results. GW has therefore decided to unblind
and analyse both studies at the same time so that both sets of headline results
can be considered and interpreted simultaneously. These results will be released towards the end of 2006.[1]
If no results are forthcoming, on 2nd January 2007 I'd be happy to give them a ring. Until then I will continue to wait, however stressful that might be!
Last night I spoke to someone who used to be involved in drug tests, he confirmed the process that WengerB outlined in a previous post and said that the unblinding part is "fast". He suggested that the analysis of data of the second trial may be the thing that is holding this up.
