hatto: i'm also surprised at the speed and strenght of the recovery and rise. it's not clear what is happening or whether someone is building a position in gwp. there are many possibilities:
- could just be some buying on the european deal news (the market having dismissed the inquest as irrelevant in the scheme of things). fwiw my own thoughts were that this would not happen until the New Year bwdik
- could be news about an IND
- could be news about europe (spain, italy, holland and/or ireland are all possible sources of news).
- could be buying ahead of jan report. i don't know if anybody has a date (?) but my assumption has been mid jan?
like cfb says gwp has certainly provided the trading opportunities and nobody can trade every rise and fall with 100% success. it seems you have done pretty well and called it fairly well in the past. i think your sell was a prudent thing to do as is the decision not to just chase the sp.
