GTL Resources Plc ("the Company")



The Company announces that it has been notified by Citigroup that two previous
notifications made to the Company in relation to the holding of Standard Life
Investments incorrectly stated the total number of GTL Resources plc Ordinary
GBP 1.00 shares.

Citigroup has now confirmed that;

* on 27 November 2006 the total number of shares held by Standard Life
Investments

was 212,065,420(with a post consolidation equivalent of 2,120,654),

* on 20 December 2006 the total number of shares held by Standard Life
Investments

was 2,191,705 shares,

* in the intervening period there were no disclosable acquisitions or
disposals
