FTSE 100 Daytraders' Thread 2005

So far so good - I am being very careful with shorts at the moment. I scalped a point profit yesterday with a small short on the FT100 as Wall St. opened. I took the chance to close it as the IG Index price went to 5610, it hasn't been back down there since. I am waiting to see if the Wall St. opening will be strong enough to "pull" the FT100 up from this little dip from the intraday peak hit at 10am. Trading is slow and thin and I just cannot work out where the short term moves are likely to take the index. If it gets to 5670 + I will look for weakness and if I see it I will place another short, which I shall need to watch, so I can close it if the market begins to look stronger as it did yesterday afternoon.
