Sometimes trading isn't the best strategy though. Some stocks remain undervalued and flat line for long periods, to make the most of those stocks you need to accumulate during the quiet times and wait then you are in before the spike or movement. You are already 20-30% up before the traders arrive. If you try and trade a stock that continues to deliver you have to keep re-buying at a higher price each time as the general trend will be up, Oilexco is a good example of that. Some stocks are worth hanging on to. If EME had more +ve results and less bad luck the story would have been very different at this point. If a number of these Margarita wells are +ve then the trend will be gradual but cumulative, where will the negative set in between wells and where will the speculation set in for the next drill, and will there be news dropped on Eagle or Sugarloaf in the mean time etc. EME is going to get very tricky for the traders soon. There is only one way to get a multibagger and thats sit on an oil stock for several years and get the 10% CGT, I don't count it as a true multibagger if you are giving 40% of that to Gordon Brown.

I have no emotional attachment on EME at all, I'm here for the money its that simple. I see the potential that in about 1 years time or so EME could be trading at several times today's market value and that is enough to keep me interested. On my holding's second birthday it may get somewhat lighter, depending on what is happening at the time. Don't get me wrong if the shares rises quick enough i'll not give a fook about paying 40% tax. If we hit big on one of the Margaritas and the share hits £3 I'll be on the phone to my broker like a rat up a drainpipe. ;o).
