Rol
If you read my post in brackets I say "RNS issued countering rumour".
The fact that the Chinese are thinking of launching actions to secure their
energy requirements, was posted on the BBC teletext....Don't shoot the messenger etc. I think £500 billion foreign reserves was quoted.
Now that doesn't mean they will come in for FEP, but as they are in the right
region and have a potentially "world class" gas field, I'm pretty sure they
will be on the required radar.
The Chinese will be THE force throughout this next century, and to do that they
have to tie up (legally) energy/mineral requirements fast....Why do you
think they are buying up huge chunks of Africa?
As you know, I am very long term into OXB, but at the price FEP is sitting
at, I just keep thinking they are a sitting duck takeover with FEC still
holding an easily bought 32%...In fact, if FEC have anything about them
(with a director on the boards of both co's) they will be organising the
required £20m or so to take the lot themselves.
