I agree that the term "strategic review" is often used to describe senior management level timewasting exercises. However, in the case of a distressed company, that some feel is on the verge of collapse, it is prudent to assume that any proposed strategy to deal with the issues would significantly affect share price. If directors are in possession of price sensitive information, they cannot deal. That's my interpretation of available guidance.
