DiamondWorks appoints Chief Operating Officer - Oil Projects

VANCOUVER, March 3 /CNW/ - DiamondWorks Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased
to announce the appointment of Mike Jones as Chief Operating Officer - Oil
Projects. Mr. Jones is a mechanical engineer and a member of the American
Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Mr. Jones recently left Houston based energy company, Marathon Oil
Corporation ("MOC"), where he was involved over a period of 20 years in
supervisory and management positions involving offshore oil and gas field
developments, project management, production operations, export pipeline
systems and marketing and crude oil sales strategy. His most recent assignment
was as Vice President of Marathon International Petroleum Ltd. (a subsidiary
of MOC) where he headed the sub-Saharan regional office as General Manager
based in Johannesburg, South Africa, with responsibility for all business
development activities.
Prior to joining MOC, Mr. Jones spent 8 years with Bechtel Group
companies working on various international assignments involving oil & gas and
other major construction projects.
Mr. Jones will be responsible for commercialization and development of
the Company's mid and up stream oil projects such as the Nigerian oil storage
and distribution facilities and the Malawian oil pipeline and distribution
facilities. He will be the Company's representative assisting and advising on
the up stream oil activities of subsidiary company, GulfofGuinea Petroleum
Corporation which company, as recently announced, has been awarded a
production sharing contract in the EOV oilfield in Gabon.

DiamondWorks is a mining and mineral exploration company engaged in the
acquisition, exploration, development and mining of diamond and other mineral
properties. The Company's principal mineral properties are located in Sierra
Leone, Angola and Central African Republic. The Company's wholly-owned
subsidiary, Otterbea International (Proprietary) Limited and 50% subsidiary
Petroplus Africa Limited, specialize in commodities trading, the supply and
sale of crude oil and refined petroleum products and procurement and logistics
for the mining industry in Africa.
