Over the past four years we have been subject to the promise of increased revenue streams year on year (please feel free to check respective RNS releases) which have once again failed to materialise, although this should be no surprise to anyone in the share.
We have also, in my opinion, been subject to a re-prioritisation of the major exploration projects, from Mopipi to GRV and now to Tsabong.
Existing production seems to be forever in a state of statis (Oena) or expansion (Bonte Koe, Avontuur).
While I have faith in the company long term (which is supported to my personal satisfaction by the year on year market cap rise) the above combined with the repeated closed share placements gives me no incentive to invest further in FDI at this time. In fact I have decreased my holding by a substantial amount in the last six months.
Not that I or anyone else on here knows what is round the corner, it just seems that there are (seemingly) better short to medium term prospects elsewhere. Long term however, a core holding remains.
Just my take on the current situation for what it's worth. Good luck to all, wherever your money lies.
