An interesting post, although surely even if FDI do obtain all the licences in the surrounding area, 'IF' AFD have a mine at AK6 or AK8, or both, they clearly won't be leaving, even if FDI own all the land around them!

I do agree though, that it appears that further exploration blocks are actively being sought by FDI, which of course would prevent AFD obtaining any further decent ones in their area.

I still don't see why AFD would be forced to sell to FDI if they are operating profitable mines.

I do agree with you that I see an takeover of AFD by FDI as very unlikely at this time, due to FDI's numerous other projects that seem to be on the cusp.
