Very few takeovers are for cash only, and FDI have just raised £10 million.
De Beers may support a takeover for AFD, if they thought the quality and integrity of the FDI management was superior to that of AFD,IMO.
Whilst De Beers have pre emption rights over AFD directors and ex directors share disposals, I doubt whether they control which way they vote.
I still doubt whether FDI are looking to take control, but I do think they want a seat on the board, and if they control say 20% of the votes, have a very strong case IMO.
