With regard to AFD, I'm surprised this is resurfacing now, and I had thought the funds raised in the placing were destined for another project, I hope they aren't used simply to fund a takeover of AFD, personally.
In the short I agree with you that a hostile approach and subsequent battle, may well damage FDI's price, although it would of course raise the value of they stake they hold in AFD!
It would contradict the RNS they issued, but they didn't say they would NEVER make an approach, just not at the time of the RNS. I will check the wording again.
