It will be noticed that the opencut mine is 1 year behind schedule and the underground mine nearly 2 years.
It is very difficult to get a cost per tonne firm estimate for production of coal at the Ashton Opencut coalmine. It could be taken that profits should be about 40% greater than Yarrabee, albeit Yarrabee has its problems.
