Seismic Survey







The GSI Admiral will be towing 1 seismic cable 6500 meters in length. The end of this cable will be marked with an orange Tail buoy float equiped with a radar reflector and a White flashing light.







When on location the GSI Admiral will display both night and day signals in accordance with international regulations for prevention of collision at Sea.







Mariners are requested to exercise caution in this area and observe a CPA of 6 nautical miles astern and 3 nautical miles ahead of this seismic vessel.







Any vessels with the survey area coordinates may contact the GSI Admiral on 2182 KHZ or channel 16 VHF.6







Securite messages will be broadcast every 6 hours on HF radio frequency 4066.1 by the seismic vessel.

point 3: 51 00 S, 55 00 W



point 4: 50 00 S, 53 00 W







Note that these 4 points define the entire prospect area and is a huge geographic area.



The initial work area is the southwest zones nearest to points 1 and 2 but the movement of the boat



can be anywhere in the above area.







Proposed start date and expected duration of survey: Start Dec 26th. Duration 120 days plus.



The length of the survey is unclear at this time. It will depend on how much data the client will want.
