Desire Petroleum submits environmental impact study to Falkland Islands Govt
LONDON (AFX) - Desire Petroleum PLC said it submitted an Environmental
Impact Assessment, required for drilling in Tranches C and D in the North
Falkland Basin, for approval to the Falkland Islands Government.
It also noted that Ian Cross, vice-president of IHS Energy, recently
highlighted significant exploration wells to be drilled in the world in the next
18 months, i.e. wells with the potential to find a major field with 250 mln
barrels or more of recoverable oil, and included Desire's wells to be drilled in
the North Falkland Basin in this category.
