EPD, could this go to 40p per share?

My guess is that EPD need the cash immediately for the Finland mine and that waiting another month for the next sale of diamonds was not an option (I mean, Cable and co aren't daft - if they could have waited, they would have waited).

So, the placing has no implication for the forecast diamond output, in my view, and the size of the placing provides some comfort - it suggests that if EPD need more money for Finland (as is likely) they have an eye on raising it after the market has witness of future revenue streams. Of course, they could decide on raising debt - and that method will become easier once the banks themselves confirm that EPD has, at last, got a cash flow...
