As an investor that has lost money on NML, I would have thought that you would be the first to understand why. The simple fact is that both Andy and myself gave you enough warnings of where it was headed, but you did not believe us.
Sadly, now you and the other investors are looking at an almost total write off. If the Rule 9 is in effect, then whoever purchased that billion shares (and it's very probably a director, not a takeover by a major) could attempt to take the company private and force the smaller shareholders to accept 0.5p for shares that you paid 6p or 7p a little over a year ago. That's a catastrophic loss and totally avoidable.
I guess that sometimes people are stubborn about matters, because they believe in people that are misleading them, rather than posters on a BB that seem to know different. JDHurry was trumpeting loudly about Langbar being a dog, long before it fell and he received the same attention that Andy and I did. Now they realise that he was right after all.
I'm not saying that Andy and I are right all the time, but in this instance, we did interpret the information correctly and suffered abuse in return. It's a pity that you had to learn the hard way. I would have preferred it if like RBonnier, you had dived for the exit in time to save some of your investment.
