The MAIN reason for the drilling in ist place is as Zengas says, to establish if there is a seal over the antracite seams. If that is all that is established with this well, it is a success. It should not be marked down if no or little gas is thus encountered. Presumably an intact seal, would
suggest further wells. THis ist well will of course test the 3? layers or large seams, any of which may have gas I presume under great pressure.
At such pressures the gas or liquids permeate materials too.
- Most of us would be very delighted with even 100M cube gas! at 7-8M cap.
If the seal IS intact, there is very probably gas, which we may well encouter . In which case 80-1 seems far out, more like 3-1 or 5-1 as I see it. But only time can tell.
