Its quite possible. However, I would suggest that whatever formation is being currently encountered the same may not be present close to any potential gas pocket and even if it were, would not necesesarily be the type that creates a seal on same. Perhaps only a expert geologist could give a likely opinion on that specific area as to what the strata at that depth might consist of.
On an equally speculative note, perhaps current buyers have come to recognise that the sp will not go sub 30p and is already too low for a company with such huge and imminent potential. To that end I'm happy to gamble a modest amount on either Eagle, or Galantel announcing some good news in the New Year.
