Online poker news:
- Empire Online has gone forward with its legal action against PartyGaming. Their press release is short on details, but the media have reported two interesting things. The first is that Empire is attempting to get an injunction against Party forcing them to reinstate their contract (joining the networks again). The second is that the basis of the suit is Party's attempts to poach Empire's best players at the time of the split. I find the latter report to be very credible, as there were reports in the forums at the time of exactly that happening. It's hard to imagine any contract in which Party wouldn't be barred from poaching Empire's players.
