Emerald Energy wins Colombia exploration & production contract
LONDON (AFX) - Emerald Energy PLC said it has won the Ombu exploration and
production contract from ANH, the National Hydrocarbon Agency of Colombia.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
The Ombu contract, in which the company has a 100 pct working interest and
covers an area of 300 square kilometres, is in the Caguan Basin, to the
south-west of the Llanos Basin, in Colombia.
"The award of this prospective acreage with a petroleum system, proven by
historic wells, contributes to the building of an exciting portfolio of
exploration opportunities for future growth," chief executive Angus MacAskill
said
