You missed the third option, which is, now that they've had 7 months to think about what they found, to go back with the rig to Soudieh North with the intention of re-entering and trying their best shot at stimulation methods, or deepening, or sidetracking, or....
But my guess is that more exploration will be carried out, because (1) there's already a series of exploration targets, and (2) they'll hopefully have got a good deal of information from this well that they need to consider before going back.
However, touching wood as I type, if they do get hydrocarbons to flow to surface at economic rates in a flow test from Tigris, then it's a short step to re-classifying the probable reserves in the volume that the test has interrogated as proven anyway (at least from a development perspective - SEC definitions are strict).
