Russians?
Putin is seeking to restore the prime position of the USSR.
Imo all he's doing is confirming the adage: "don't deal with a Russian unless it's in another countries legal framework and you have a cast iron contract and can cut them off at the knees"
I.e if you deal in Russia subbject to Russian law you will be screwed.
As they hold 16% of world's reserves of gas and oil, no doubt they will screw a lot of people...
Which makes oil and gas outside Russia much more valuable..
Of course this is all self defeating in the long term as NO-ONE will deal witrh the Russians in Russia unless they have no choice... (see the US foreign policy for similar comparisons).
Glad we are not in Russia: I'll sell my shares if we ever are..
