Artist Stephen Pippin claims it highlights how television is now the centre of the solar system, around which everything revolves.

The piece first broke down just a fortnight after being installed and Mr Pippin was called in to repair it.

Thwn, two months ago, staff at the (Gosport) library noticed it had stopped working - and it is still waiting to be repaired.

Mr Pippin...has taken the motor of the plasma screen away to repair...(and) said..."In effect, it's a prototype". (Daily Mail, 29 December 2005, p.3)

I think it's just as well that there's no motor driving the sun round our Earth! bob
