Emerald's 'big' news releases (the 2003 Rights Issue, the 2004 Placing and Open Offer, and the 2005 Syria acquisition) tend to be much 'bigger' than most investors anticipate. There's a load of news building up: production in Colombia, testing at Fortuna, the TEAs, farm-out at Gigante, without anything regarding Syria. But my feeling is that AB knows he has to deliver on "the barrels" as my friend calls them, the time for getting somewhere in the 5,000 to 6,000 bopd range has in my view gone, I'm now looking for something in the 6,000 to 7,000 bopd range pretty soon. And with six wells succesfully drilled in the Campo Rico Block (plus Gigante #1A), I really don't think that's too much to expect. bob

edit: the continued absence of UK media coverage is certain imo to lead to various investors taking the opportunity to sell, as they see the sp at a medium-term high. Blanking wouldn't happen with someone such as Cairn...
