Pendragon2: indeed! I recommend the 2CD box set 'A Portrait of Josephine Baker', ref. GALE 20, issued in 1997. It costs naff all, and it has her 1920s material including the great numbers 'Who', 'After I Say I'm Sorry', 'Bye Bye Blackbird', 'Breezin' Along With The Breeze', 'Hello, Bluebird' and 'Blue Skies'. I've got Theda's autograph, btw, and some a fantastic studio shot (printed from the original glass negative) from her lost classic 'Cleopatra'. Most of her films are lost, I've got copies of what survives, including her comedy 'Madame Mystery' directed by Stan Laurel and also featuring Oliver Hardy, which was the first time they worked together. bob
