Liquidation before expiry story ( way above - chetnuts post)
very plausible, but all the less believeble as it sounds plausible and rather slick.
HAving been a trader of oil stocks over the last month, and long several for a while, it appears that November is a weak month for high crude prices, and this year is set to be one like that ( over the average of the last 17 years) if oil prices fall tos ay $48 in a month, I'm sure most of us will be over the moon as it suggests common sense has returned, however the short term pain is I dont call the upturn in oil stocks for anotehr 3 weeks yet. So we could ahve another 5-6% to fall IMO. So that is maybe another 8p lower for EEN..
( which I bought at last week price 136p, so I'm not talking it down).
I'll remember I said that in a month, so we can see if my timing was reasonable. Even so a lower oil price will be the best thing for everyone, so industry and demand can thrive all round. Lastly do read zengas's very good writeup of VOG prospects from last night. ( VOG thread). I have a limit order to buy more VOG at 38p ( 44p now).
