Oh dear. Just phoned for yet another takeaway, as the julie is late back from the daughter's and looking frozen - and a bit wet.
The guy on the other end of the phone obviously had a limited knowledge of English - and a total lack of basic maths. After repeating the order several times - more and more slowly, he finally seemed to have grasped it - but said he would have to ring me back once he had worked out the cost!
He duly rang back and told me the price (which seemed a lot cheaper than I had worked out) and said HE would be with me in about 50 minutes - he then asked me detailed instructions on how to get here - another bout of trying to explain to him in words of one syllable.
