LONDON (AFX) - In-vitro diagnostics company Axis-Shield PLC said it has
released its flagship Afinion point-of-care system for commercial sale in the
US.
The system will be marketed and sold in the US exclusively by Abbott Labs
and its distribution partner Physician Sales & Service, the company said.
Svein Lien, Axis-Shield's CEO, said: "We believe Afinion will become the
instrument of choice for point-of-care HbA1c (diabetes) testing as customers
recognize its simplicity, speed and reliability."
