Dixons to buy DARTY and Metro to buy COMETS,perhaps

oil, over the past years i have purchased stuff from PC World, Dixons and Curry's. I have found the level of service as good as any other major retailer. I ask about the staff turnover in comparison to the whole sector as your info is of no use unless it is compared against industry peers. I do not believe the staff turnover you are talkingn about is unusual for a British retail/hospitality outfit.

I should also mention that all major retailers face the same problem with poor training/staff retention etc. Perhaps Tesco and a few others are exceptions, but generally speaking I believe Dixons is no worse than any other major retailer. Your experiences at Dixons are very similar to former employees who post on the Sainsbury, Marks & Specer etc, etc, bb's .

I am by no way saying that Dixons is well run company, i merely saying they are not much different from the vast majority of their peers on the high street.

Dixons trading results since the last update, and their near term outlook will decide whether i go long or short.
