If you ever want to avoid an endoscomy, just tell them 5 minutes prior to the sedation that you've been drinking, and your last drink was 15 minutes prior to the examination. Which I had been doing during the morning at home, and in the pub across the road from the hospital.

Also, chew gum, as that's another reason, albeit odd, that they won't do this procedure, or at least won't carry out the sedation.

Add that to the fact that I shouldn't of eaten anything since 12.00 noon yesterday, but admitted to them that I ate egg and chips at 10.15 last night...


It quite clearly stated on the fact sheet that I couldn't eat eggs or chips, and the fact that I wasn't supposed to consume any liquids at all 2 hours prior to the appointment today,


Hey presto, no camera.

I was rather embarrassed when going back to the waiting room to tell the lady who was going to wait the 2 hours, that they'd refused, but what embarrassed me more was the book she was reading, with the cover on full show to the rest of the waiting room.

F8ck knows who wrote it, but the title's in big letters on the front.


"Porno".


I'm not making this up, she was reading a book in the hospital waiting room called 'porno' but she said that anyone that knew about books would know it's not as the title suggests.

Well f8ck and b8gger me, I'm sorry, but why would anyone in the waiting room think anything but what a slut she was.
It was a hospital waiting room, not the fr1gging library.

Add all that to the fact we were all waiting in the room for the same thing, a camera up our arses, and all the other patience were old...it must of looked like she'd been giving me hard back door action of some sort and it needed medical attention.


So, if you were in Reading's 'endoscomy suite' today, and a bloke with a whore was refused treatment because he refused to follow the rules...
